Ⅱ. How do we entrust others to process, share, transfer and publicly disclose your personal information?

We will sign a strict confidentiality agreement with the companies and organizations entrusted by the Authority to process personal information and require them to process your personal information in accordance with our requirements, personal information protection policies and other relevant confidentiality and security measures.

To ensure the smooth implementation of examination and safeguard your rights and interests, we may share your registration information with companies and organizations which support us in the organization and implementation of examination, printing and mailing of certificates (Test Report Form), etc.

Other scenarios when your personal information may be shared according to the relevant national requirements on data sharing, the Authority may share your personal information for compulsory public welfare purposes such as contribution to national government information projects, information projects benefiting the people and national data sharing platform.

We will sign a strict confidentiality agreement with the companies and organizations with whom we share your personal information, requiring them to process your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and other relevant confidentiality and security measures of the Authority. The companies and organizations cooperating with the Authority shall not use the shared personal information for any other purpose. If it is necessary to change the purpose of your personal information usage, we will obtain your authorization and consent once again.

  1. Transfer

We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual, except for the following circumstances:

1)After obtaining your explicit consent, we will transfer your personal information to other parties.

The user information collected and generated by the Authority within the territory of the People's Republic of China will be stored within the territory of the People's Republic of China.

After the period of storage has expired, we shall delete your personal information or anonymize it according to applicable laws.

1.The Authority has taken reasonable and feasible security measures in line with legal requirements and industry standards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or other loss.

2.We have established a special security team, management system and processing flow to ensure the security of data, strictly limit the scope of personnel accessing data, and require data processors to abide by the confidentiality obligation and conduct regular audits.

3.We regularly carry out an evaluation of network security level on the information system, security risk assessment on personal information, and hold seminars on personal information security, and audit the security status, management system and protection measures of personal information, to continuously improve the ability and level of personal information protection.

4.We shall take all reasonable and feasible measures to avoid collecting irrelevant personal information.

5.As the Internet environment is not completely secure, we will take all possible measures to ensure or guarantee the security of the information you send to us. If our physical, technical, or managerial protective facilities are damaged, resulting in unauthorized access, public disclosure, tampering with, destruction or other incidents of personal information leakage, we shall initiate the emergency plan to mitigate and minimize the impact of such incidents and inform you of the relevant information in the form of messages or notifications. The Authority has the right to refuse to accept repeated and unreasonable requests, such as unreasonable repetition, requests which prove to be too technically complicated, those posing risks to the legitimate rights and interests of others or unrealistic requests, etc.

According to the relevant laws, regulations, and national standards of the People's Republic of China, we shall not respond to your request under the following circumstances:

1)Related to the performance of our obligations under laws and regulations.

2)Related to the national security and national defense security of the People's Republic of China.

3)Related to public safety, public health, and major public interests.

4)Related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and judgment execution.

5)Any personal malice or abuse of power as proven with sufficient evidence.

6)For the purpose of protecting life, property or other legitimate rights and interests of you or other people, if we are unable to obtain your consent in a timely manner.

7)Responding to your request shall cause serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of you or other individuals or organizations.

Ⅷ. Cross-Border transmission of personal information

To deliver the IELTS test, we may provide some of your registration information to the British Council, an overseas company and organization we cooperate with.

The Authority will, in accordance with relevant legal provisions, conduct security assessment and personal information protection certification for overseas companies or organizations cooperating with us, and sign contracts or agreements with them to require them to handle your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and other relevant confidentiality and security measures.

If you do not consent to the transfer of your registration information to an overseas company or organization, you shall not be able to take the corresponding overseas examination. By agreeing to accept this Privacy Policy, you are deemed to have agreed to transfer your personal registration information to the overseas companies or organizations that cooperate with us.

For major changes, we will also provide more prominent notices (in the form of website announcements, user SMS and others).
